Internet isn't the best from our apartment b/c we are all the way at the end...so no photos right now -- will get to it soon...

We arrived 2 nights ago rather late (about 11:30pm) where we were picked up by bus and carted off to the apartments we'll be living in for the next 5 weeks. The apartment we are in has lots of windows in the living room area and it looked pretty nice with the lights twinkling at night. I awoke to a foggy morning, but this was my view!

We grabbed a quick breakfast, had a brief orientation with the students and then headed off on a tour of the city with Ish, our "go to" guy for getting around Cape Town. On our tour we got some great views of the beaches & Camps Bay. We drove up to Signal Hill where we were able to get a great view of Table Mountain, Devils Peak &; Lion's Head -- the mountains that create a beautiful backdrop for the city. It was actually pretty amazing because it had been pretty foggy all day and as we crested over Signal Hill all of a sudden the sun was shining &; it was breathtaking.

Today was a bit more laid back for me (as the 2nd group that came in did their city tour today). I walked down to the grocery store after our 2nd morning of "orienting" the students & then worked on prepping for a few of the sessions I am leading. We went to dinner tonight at Moyo, where there was music and face painting galore! The students seemed to have a good time and tomorrow we begin to start teaching. Hopefully students will be rested &; ready (yeah right!) :)
